The Saint Benedict prayer is one of the best known in the Catholic tradition. It is written on the Saint Benedict medal and is often prayed in times of temptation, spiritual weariness and inner struggle.
May the Holy Cross be my light. Let not the dragon be my guide. Begone, Satan! Never tempt me with your vanities. What you offer me is evil. Drink the poison yourself.
Many believers close by asking: Saint Benedict, pray for us. Amen.
